LD Divi Child Theme Installation Guide

Follow the steps below to install and set up your LD Divi Child Theme.

⚠️ Server Requirements

Before starting the theme installation, please make sure your server meets the following minimum requirements. These settings help ensure the theme installs smoothly and the demo content imports correctly.

Recommended Server Configuration

max_input_time = 6000
memory_limit = 2048M
max_execution_time = 6000
post_max_size = 2048M
upload_max_filesize = 2048M
max_input_vars = 10000
max_file_uploads = 100

These recommended settings help avoid common issues during theme installation and demo content import.

Step 1 – Install Divi 5 Theme

Before installing the child theme, make sure the Divi 5 Theme is installed and activated.

Go to Appearance → Themes
Click Add New Theme
Upload the Divi Theme ZIP file
Click Install Now
Click Activate

✅ Divi 5 Theme is now ready.

👉 Important: Divi Theme is required to use this child theme. You can purchase the Divi theme from Elegant Themes. The Divi theme is not included in the product files.

Step 2 – Install LD Divi Child Theme

After activating Divi, install the LD Child Theme.

Go to Appearance → Themes
Click Add New Theme
Upload the LD Child Theme ZIP file
Click Install Now
Click Activate

✅ LD Child Theme is now activated.

Step 3 – Import Demo Website

After activating the child theme, you will see:

Dashboard → LD Theme Demo Import

Open LD Theme Demo Import
Click Start Demo Import
Wait for the import process to finish

The importer will automatically install:

Pages
Blog Posts
Projects
Media Files
Theme Builder Templates
Theme Options
Global Variables
Widgets Data

Note: No extra plugins are required.

Step 4 – Import Complete

When the import process is finished, all demo content will be installed automatically.

Click View Your Website to see your website.

Your website is now ready to customize.

Global Colors

All colors are managed globally using Divi Variable Manager:

Divi → Variable Manager → Colors

Global Fonts

All fonts are controlled from Divi Variable Manager.

Divi → Variable Manager → Fonts

Global Layout Settings

Control website layout width & max-width from one place.

Divi → Theme Options → LD Global Settings → Layout

Global Typography

Manage all text styles globally.

Divi → Theme Options → LD Global Settings → Typography

Global Preloader

Control the website loading screen.

Divi → Theme Options → LD Global Settings → Preloader

Enable / Disable preloader
Upload custom logo

Do I Need to Purchase the Divi Theme Separately?

Yes. This product is a Divi Child Theme and requires the Divi theme to work.
