Divi Child Theme Installation & Setup Guide

Follow this step-by-step guide to install and set up our Divi Child Themes quickly on your WordPress website.

⚠️ Server Requirements

Before starting the theme installation, please make sure your server meets the following minimum requirements. These settings help ensure the theme installs smoothly and the demo content imports correctly.

Recommended Server Configuration

max_input_time = 6000
memory_limit = 2048M
max_execution_time = 6000
post_max_size = 2048M
upload_max_filesize = 2048M
max_input_vars = 10000
max_file_uploads = 100

These recommended settings help avoid common issues during theme installation and demo content import.

Step 1 – Install and Activate Divi Theme

Before installing the child theme, make sure the Divi parent theme is installed and activated on your website.

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard
Go to Appearance → Themes
Upload the Divi Theme (Version 5)
Click Install and Activate

👉 Important: Divi Theme is required to use this child theme. You can purchase the Divi theme from Elegant Themes. The Divi theme is not included in the product files.

Step 2 – Install BizPro Divi Child Theme

Go to Appearance ⇾ Themes
Click Add New → Upload Theme
Upload the Our Divi Child Theme ZIP file
Click Install Now
Click Activate

👉 Note: After activating the child theme, you will see a notification to install required plugins.

Step 3 – Install Required Plugins

Click Begin Installing Plugins
Install the plugins one by one
Click Activate for each plugin

👉 Note: After installing all plugins, Click Return to Dashboard.

Import Demo Content

Go to Appearance → Import Demo Data
Click the Import Demo Data button
Click Continue & Import

The demo content will start importing.

⏳ Please wait while the import process completes. This may take a few minutes.

Once finished, you will see a message that the import process is complete.

Now the pages and posts will be added to your website.

Step 4 – Import Divi Theme Files (JSON files)

Next, you need to manually import three Divi JSON files.

First, extract the product ZIP file.

Product Zip Folder → import-pack

You will see these JSON Files:

divi-theme-option.json
divi-theme-builder.json
divi-design-variables.json

👉 Note: These folders contain the JSON files that need to be imported.

Import Divi Theme Options:-

Go to Divi → Theme Options
Click the Portability icon (Import/Export)
Go to the Import tab
Upload the JSON file from: import-pack/divi-theme-option.json
Click Import Divi Theme Options

Import Divi Theme Builder Template:-

Go to Divi → Theme Builder
Click the Portability Icon (Import/Export)
Select the Import tab
Upload the JSON file from: import-pack/divi-theme-builder.json File
Click Import Divi Theme Builder Templates
After importing, click the Save Changes button

Import Divi Design Variables:-

Open the Divi Visual Builder on any page
Go to Design Variables
Click the Variables Portability Icon (Import/Export)
Click the Import Variables button
Upload the JSON file from: import-pack/divi-design-variables.json File
Click Import Variables
Click Apply Changes and then Save

Do I Need to Purchase the Divi Theme Separately?

Yes. This product is a Divi Child Theme and requires the Divi theme to work.
The Divi theme is not included in the product files and must be purchased separately from Elegant Themes.

How Can I Change the Website Colors?
